The “Cross-Cultural Management” Intensive Programme is an initiative of the EuroMed Research Business Institute funded by the Hellenic State Scholarships Institution under the ERASMUS LLP of the European Commission. The programme is designed to promote the idea of Cross-Cultural Management training between students and academics, of different cultural backgrounds, throughout Europe. It will be implemented as an intensive two-week summer school.
To promote Cross-Cultural Management Training as part of the management curricula throughout Europe and establish a common base of learning outcomes, innovative teaching material and methods with the potential to become the European standard for cross-cultural management training. Expert academics from participant institutions will provide students with theoretical knowledge and practical skills in five modules related to the main areas of cross-cultural management. You will have to pay nothing but 25% of your travel costs which will be in the area of € 100 – 150 depending on how expensive air tickets you choose. Everything else is paid for by the European Union. You do not have to pay any attendance fees.
Overall it's a very good deal considering that you will spend two weeks in a world known resort in the high tourist season.
Students will be awarded with a Certificate of Attendance worth 6 transferable ECTS units, and endorsed by the Scientific Committee acting in the name of all participating institutions. Depending on the structure of studies in your institution, the credits will either count as an integral course module or will be allocated to existing courses.
Eligible for attending the course are undergraduate (BA - BSc) students, in the final two semesters of their studies, and postgraduate (MA – MSc – MBA) students enrolled in partner institutions. All students should have a good command of English and hold at least one of the Cambridge FCE, Michigan ECCE, UCLAN B2, City & Guilds B2 English Language Certificates or any other equivalent recognized in their country of origin.
Undergraduate Economics and/or Business students should possess an overall marking of at least 65% or equivalent depending on their HEI. Undergraduate students of other disciplines should possess a marking exceeding 75% or equivalent in at least one Management course.
Postgraduate students will be accepted on the basis of higher average markings.
All students of partner institutions can attend the course, regardless of their nationality or home country, subject to the entry requirements above. Non-EU nationals registered in EU Universities assume the status of long - term residents of the country in which they study and become eligible to attend.
ERASMUS students are also eligible to attend the course under the restriction that travel allowance will be calculated on the basis of travel costs from and to the institution they are currently studying and not their country of permanent residence.
